Our Beers

Jack's Abby Brewing's goal is to create truly remarkable beer that combines the strict standards of traditional German brewing with the innovative approach of American craft brewers.

While the craft brewing world is overflowing with ales, Jack's Abby Brewing specializes in lagers. Less breweries produce lagers because the fermentation process takes about three times as long. Lagers have a crisp, clean flavor that can only come from the lagering process. The bottom fermenting yeast of lagers creates a robust beer with a flavor profile that can easily go toe-to-toe with any ale. We think it's worth the wait, and we're sure once you try our handcrafted beers you will agree.

All Jack's Abby lagers are unfiltered and preservative-free. All beers are made with locally sourced ingredients whenever possible, including hops from the Hendler farm in Vermont. Read more about us.

Award Winning

Jack's Abby produces world class, boundary-pushing lagers. With a 97 point "world class" rating from Beer Advocate magazine, Hoponius Union has become the flagship beer and the Brewery's best seller. Smoke & Dagger, the second of Jack's Abby's three core offerings has won multiple awards including two medals from the Great International Beer Festival in Providence, Rhode Island, as well as a Bronze medal at the 2012 Great American Beer Festival - the largest beer judging competition in the world. Jack's Abby took three Gold medals from the RateBeer "Best of 2013" list, where consumers judged beers from around the world.

Jabby Brau, Jack's Abby Brewing, Beer

Jabby Brau

Deep golden in color, this low ABV lager balances Pilsner and Munich malt with an aromatic American hop aroma. This beer starts hoppy but finishes unexpectedly malty with very low bitterness. Impressively flavorful and drinkable for the lightest beer we brew. We dub this beer a "Session Lager," as we once again brew a lager in a beer style of its own. Uses local Soft Red Winter Wheat from Four Star Farms.
